I wrote this song before leaving LA. I was watching a couple converse quietly and then with force. This made me question how often we tell others how we actually feel about them. Think back to that time when you met someone you really clicked with but never took the opportunity to let them know how cool they were. Take the chance, let them know – before you can’t.
lyrics
There was a day when I walked away
And I forgot to say
It wasn’t about the food in your teeth
Or that you hadn’t washed your hair that week
But I forgot, I forgot, I forgot
To say those three little words
I Like You
I wonder what would’ve become
Had I simply just succumbed
To that feeling deep inside
Oh damn I could not hide
But I forgot, I forgot, I forgot
To say those three little words
I Like You
So, the day has come now and you are gone
And all I have is this simple song
To sing those three simple words
I should’ve said when I turned and walked away
But I forgot, I forgot, I forgot
To say those three little words
I Like You
